Mary Jo Haddad is a Senior Associate based in Toronto, serving as an executive coach for key Kilberry clients. Mary Jo is a celebrated Health Care Executive who has spent over forty years in healthcare leadership and children’s health. As former President and Chief Executive Officer of the world renowned Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada, where she served for over thirty years, Ms. Haddad championed an environment of excellence where over 10,000 talented and dedicated Physicians, Researchers, Staff and Volunteers were committed to putting children and families at the center of their work.
Ms. Haddad holds Honorary Doctor of Laws degrees from the University of Windsor (2003), University of Ontario Institute of Technology (2014) and Ryerson University (2014). She was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2010 and received The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. She is a recipient of the Premier’s Award for Outstanding Achievement. In November 2012, she was recognized as one of Toronto Life’s 50 Influential People. In 2011, she was named one of Canada’s inaugural Top 25 Women of Influence in Health Sciences and was inducted into the Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Hall of Fame by The Women’s Executive Network. In October 2009, she was the recipient of both the Leadership Award from the Society of Graduates, University of Toronto’s Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, and the Catalyst Canada Honours Toronto Business Excellence Award as Leading CEO.
Ms. Haddad holds several Board appointments including Director of TD Bank Group, TELUS, Kids Health Links Foundation and the Children First Canada Advisory Board.
